Often you may run into the scenario when you want one element to appear differently in 2 different views.
Changing the settings isn’t an option so a useful trick is to create a special Pen Set for the change.
We’ll use the example of structural members which we need to highlight for the structural engineer in a thicker black pen but to appear light grey for all other views.
So we use one of the free pen slots in Document>Pen Sets>Pens & Colours and create the thick black pen saving the pen set as ‘For Engineer’
Then in all other pen sets we set that pen to a thin light grey for all other views:
